Multi-Objective Optimization of Plastics Thermoforming

The practical application of a multi-objective optimization strategy based on evolutionary algorithms was proposed to optimize the plastics thermoforming process. For that purpose, in this work, differently from other works literature, shaping step considered individually with aim optimizing thickness distribution final part originated sheets characterized by different profiles, such as constant thickness, spline variation one direction and concentric two directions, while maintaining temperature constant. As far we know, is first work where type approach proposed. A Evolutionary Algorithms applied determination demonstrating validity methodology results obtained considering three theoretical initial sheet shapes indicate clearly valid, it provides solutions physical meaning great potential be real practice. profiles for optimal Pareto show, all cases, along front are related objectives considered.
